Flight duration calculation

Hello mates,

I'm trying to calculate my next routes for maximum use for my planes. I want to buy cargoplanes for over 200 routes and I want to get the discount.

But I have some problems with the flightduration.

I have these examples:

A310-300F (max 850 km/h)
GRZ-VIE 150km - flight duration is 2h30 (mean an average of 60 km/h)
GRZ-DRS 476km - flight duration is 3h15 (mean an average of 146 km/h)
VIE-SVO 1663km - flight duration is 6h00 (mean an average of 277 km/h)

Saab S-340BF (max 467 km/h)
GRZ-VIE 150km - flight duration is 2h45 (mean an average of 55 km/h)
GRZ-DRS 476km - flight duration is 4h15 (mean an average of 112 km/h)
VIE-SVO 1663km - flight duration is 9h15 (mean an average of 181 km/h)

I don't find a logical way to calculate these duration.
Maybe the way from start to max speed (f.e. 0 to 850km/h in 30 minutes) and the same for landing or/and some minutes for grounding...

Maybe you have any ideas.

If you look at the details of a flight you’ll see the duration of each step of a flight

@crationis: yes I know, but I have over 200 routes in an excel-file. And I want to calculate the duration, not filling a database with 200 routes and 20 cargoplanes.

Yes but you could have done it just for a few flights and you would have seen that a flight is always 2hrs + travel time because of boarding, disembarkment, preparing for return, boarding, disembarkment etc..

Based on the information by @crationis, I suggest the following formula to calculate a route:
=2+(ROUND((distance/speedOfAircraft);0.25;0)*2)
Let me know whether it works or not, I haven’t tried it yet.

Hello,

Exact calculation is: =(ROUNDUP(distance/speed*8;0)+8)*900/3600

This allow for quarter calculation, put in second and then hour with correct decimal (10,5 being 10h30min)

Hi,
I'm not sure what you are looking for but keep in mind that a rotation includes landing, unloading, loading, takeoff, flight duration
While flight duration is based on distance and speed, all ground ops are probably the same for all the planes
