Hello!

I am currently thinking about carrying more cargo with cargo planes on existing routes, but i am not sure if it pays off to buy cargo planes because the revenue of these flights is actually pretty low (About 1.500.000 - 1.700.000 per flight on LH). Therefore i was looking at the cargo tax bonus - i still do not understand how this amount of tax bonus is calculated an if this bonus is making the cargo planes worth the money. Does someaone know how this cargo tax bonus is calculated and if it makes the cargo planes worth the money?

Thanks for your help :D

It doesn't worth it. Play eco if you want your airline to thrive ;)

Cargo bonus gives me roughly 1092$ daily for each 1t carried in standard LH route, and it's not taxable.
Therefore consider each 747-400ERF getting 1092*226/0.31 ~ 796k$ daily in addition to its visible 1.5M$.
Still doesn't worth it.

It would be interesting to know what are exactly the operating costs of a cargo version vs a full eco plane (similar plane obviously).
I doubt we have the tools to calculate this with big precision

What about the employees you have to hire when you get delivery of a full ECO passenger plane and a similar plane without any seats, just cargo ? For example, a 852 seats A380 costs me 16xx crew members to hire

While an A380 with 852 ECO seats and 4to cargo can earn around 5-7mio a day, it is true that the same plane carrying cargo only, without any seats, only earns 1-2mio (that's why I add a few 1st class seats), but... if you carry all available passengers of some lines and you still have 700to cargo/day/line, don't you think it's worth to take care of the cargo?

I consider that since i have the lines, the money to purchase the planes, I carry what I can and I don't focus to much on details

With around 24bn/day income, I pay 87bn tax/week and get around 3bn cargo bonus...

My biggest issue is the lack of time and the lack of proper tools to analyze my company performances

Nope.
